Cornerstones of Maine is a clinically-driven transitional living program located in Portland and Biddeford, Maine. Our program assists 18 to 28 year old creative & bright determined emerging young adults who are struggling to live and function independently. Our clients have a history of mood or anxiety disorders, executive functioning issues, social skill deficits, and academic challenges. Our program provides a therapeutic & experiential approach that gives structure and support based on each client’s individual needs. We provide all gender accommodations that are LGBTQ+ affirming and our average length of stay is 9 to 12 months.
We follow a dual therapist model and each client has weekly individual and group therapy sessions as well as monthly family therapy sessions. Each client is provided 1:1 support from a Life Skills & Academic Success Coach, who works directly with their primary and secondary therapist. Our individualized program includes professional development, academic reengagement, and real world immersion. We have a 2:1 client to staff ratio in-home daily with an immersive therapeutic milieu. These experiences, along with enrichment opportunities, promote emotional growth, personal value, and life purpose.
