I currently live in Ventura, CA where I have found my true home after living throughout Southern California. I have been married to my husband for 22 years and we have three awesome kids. I am a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) and have been practicing anesthesia for 27 years. During that time, I have also become a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Clinical Nutritionist and a Certified Shamanic Intuitive Coach.

My 16-year-old son has struggled with behavioral issues since he was a toddler. He has received residential treatment and wilderness therapy to help him navigate his neurodivergence. We are still working on getting him the support he needs to thrive. As challenging as our journey has been, I call my son my greatest teacher.

I have learned how to lovingly detach from my son and work on myself, so that I am able to support him instead of controlling or “fixing” him. I have found unparalleled support through OPLM, “walked the medicine wheel” twice, and developed a daily practice involving mindfulness, self-compassion and gratitude. I am thrilled to be a peer parent with OPLM and have also started a business called The Parent Peace, an organization that offers retreats for moms who are struggling to navigate the journey of parenting their neurodiverse child.
