Hi! Welcome to OPLM…a group I never imagined I would come to love and rely on so much when I was first here. It has actually changed the course of my life. I started as a parent, attending meetings when my son was in treatment, trying to find the answers of what I could do to help him. I am so grateful that through the darkest part of our lives, his struggles gave me the opportunity to find this group of peers who understood. I had been so isolated as we tried to figure it all out on our own (who starts a meal train when your kid is an addict?), so to find a place where, though the stories were different, the struggles were the same was a gift.

My son will tell you that when we started working on ourselves, he felt free enough to work on himself. I was so inspired by the group to focus on what I could work on, that not only did I start to feel relief, I wanted to help others as well, so I became a peer parent…which I love. You are never alone. 💜
