Parent Coach

I am a life coach for parents with teens or young adults who are struggling. I help parents strengthen and rebuild the connections that keep their families together, when everything seems to be falling apart. Parenting teens and young adults who are struggling isn’t exactly intuitive. Through one-to-one coaching I help parents design a solid game plan, learn how to stop reacting, and find ways to reconnect.

I began coaching adoptive parents in Oregon’s Foster to Adopt program 25 years ago and currently have a private practice coaching parents of teens and young adults. In addition to my formal training, I have a wealth of knowledge and depth of understanding that comes from raising 9 children, most adopted through the state system. I have first-hand parenting experience with teens working through issues surrounding residential treatment, group homes, attachment disorder, drug addiction, incarceration, over drinking , adoption, ADHD, LGTBQ+, and varied learning abilities.

I am passionate about helping parents find the joy of one of the most rewarding experiences they can have on this planet–raising children.
