Teri T.

May 3 @ 7:36 am EDT

Hey, I’m Teri and I live in San Francisco.

Someone important in my life once said, “miracles do happen”. I didn’t believe it. I was so far down the rabbit hole of addiction I felt hopeless, angry, and deeply depressed. Our son started using at age 14. After his first treatment center, he was diagnosed with ADHD. For the next 3 years he struggled in and out of recovery and ER rooms. Today, he’s 18 and sober for over a year. I’m hopeful for our future and I’ve learned it takes a great deal of work to get there.

Our journey is far from over but the tools I’ve acquired through AI-anon and parent connection has helped me tremendously. My marriage is stronger, my son is open-minded and I’m less fearful. Miracles really do happen. I hope to see you in one of our meetings soon, you are not alone.
