I have been married for 28 years and have a 24 yr old son and a 26 yr old daughter. Both are college graduates and are working full-time in the social working and tech sales sectors in Arizona and New York City. I grew up outside of Boston and attended school in ME, with graduate school in CA following. I have been a scientist in the Pharma area since 1993, and relocated my family to my hometown in 2000 so that our children could grow up surrounded by family.
My son is my qualifier and he began struggling soon after graduating high school. Miraculously, he graduated from college on time, despite many hospitalizations. IOP stints led to wilderness which in turn led to residential recovery. The road has not ever been straight, and the journey will never end. The last 2 years have led to enlightenment within my own recovery and closeness within my family that one never could have imagined back in 2020; we continue to learn, communicate and grow as a family.
Since 2017 I’ve combined my new love of photography with birding and have shot extensively in the US, Africa, Europe and Asia. I enjoy writing, playing basketball, learning languages and am very active in my church: Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Knights of Columbus.
